Itawe Correa is a Colombian-born singer, songwriter, and frontman of Grammy and Latin Grammy-nominated band Locos Por Juana — one of Miami's most celebrated Latin acts. Originally from Medellín and raised between Colombia and Miami, Itawe has been the charismatic heart and voice of Locos Por Juana since the band's formation in 2000. Their sound is a bilingual fusion of reggae, cumbia, funk, salsa, and hip-hop rooted in Afro-Colombian and Caribbean traditions — what the band calls "that island swing." Voted Best Latin Band 2017 by Miami New Times, the group has collaborated with ChocQuibTown, Talib Kweli, Collie Buddz, Beto Perez, and Juanes, and has performed for thousands across the Americas, Europe, and beyond. A conscious party-starter and cultural messenger, Itawe believes in the healing power of music above all.
